Homicide detectives are investigating what happened after a man died after suffering injuries in a home in Melbourne’s southeast.

Emergency services were called to a home on Ashleigh St in Frankston just after 11.30pm on Monday, where they found a 30-year-old Heatherton man suffering critical injuries.

While authorities attempted to perform CPR, the man was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Detectives are still investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death, and an active crime scene remains at the Ashleigh St home.

Police believe the man’s death was targeted, and that those involved are known to each other.
