Former stripper Robyn Lindholm charged with murder of ex-lover George Templeton
FORMER stripper Robyn Lindholm has been charged with the murder of her ex-lover, a suspected standover man who was part of the “plastic gangsters”.
FORMER stripper Robyn Lindholm has reportedly been charged with the murder of her ex-lover, 11 years after the father-of-five mysteriously vanished from his Melbourne home.
George Templeton, 38, a suspected drug dealer, standover man, and part of a Richmond gang called the “plastic gangsters”, left the house he shared with his fiancee Ms Lindholm and his teenage son in north suburban Reservoir on May 2, 2005.
He was not seen again.
Police conceded in August 2005 Templeton, also known as George Teazis, may not have wanted to be found but held grave concerns because he had not used his mobile phone or bank accounts and had been looking forward to a prepaid Queensland holiday with his fiancee.
A few years ago, Ms Lindholm, who worked as a stripper using the name Colette, made a tearful plea for information about his disappearance.
She said she was out visiting a friend when Mr Templeton left and received a text message from him about 2.40am the next day but was not able to contact her partner of more than six years.
Ms Lindholm, who bragged about dating murdered gangster Alphonse Gangitano nicknamed the “Black Prince of Lygon Street”, said the couple had dinner with a friend at home the night before Mr Templeton left and he appeared happy.
According to the Herald Sun, the 43-year-old Ravenhall woman was charged with murder by homicide detectives on Tuesday.
