A group of teenagers have been charged after a string of armed and aggravated robberies in Melbourne’s north east.

CCTV footage has captured the chilling moment a group of teenagers stormed a milk bar in Melbourne, allegedly armed with knives.

In the clip, which was captured at a store in Macleod in Melbourne, the boys are seen pointing a sharp object at the store owner, Cindy Ding.

The boys then walk behind the counter, with Ms Ding appearing to open the cash register before handing over a wad of cash before the group run out.

Ms Ding said she’s scared to work following the ordeal.

“They just said get cash out and the cigarettes … now I’m so scared everyday to work in this shop,” she told the Today Show.

“It should be safe.”

The four boys have been charged over a series of alleged armed robberies in Melbourne, including multiple aggravated burglaries where motor vehicles were stolen, and the theft of cigarettes during armed robberies at service stations.

The spate of robberies took place between July 15 and 22, with two of the boys arrested by the Special Operations Group on the Princes Freeway about 5.15pm on Monday.

The other two boys were arrested in Clayton on Monday afternoon.

A 17-year-old Pakenham boy has been charged with 23 offences including multiple counts of aggravated burglary, armed robbery and theft of motor vehicle, while a 16-year-old Pakenham boy has been charged with 17 offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, armed robbery and drive in manner dangerous.

A 15-year-old Frankston boy has been charged with 10 offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and armed robbery, and a 14-year-old Doveton boy has been charged with eight offences including theft of motor vehicle and armed robbery.

All four boys are set to face a children’s court at a later date.

Investigations remain ongoing to find a fifth offender believed to be involved, as police urge anyone with information to come forward.
