A body has been found in a lake in a popular inner-city park, metres away from a children’s playground where dozens of families were playing.
A body has been pulled from a lake near a children’s playground in Melbourne’s inner northeast.
Emergency services were called to Woodlands Park in Essendon about 11am on Sunday after reports of a body found in a lake at the popular park.
The body was pulled metres away from a children’s playground where dozens of families were attending.
Emergency services cordoned off the area while police launch an investigation into the person’s death.
Police are yet to formally identify the deceased person or determine how they died.
