AN EX-STRIPPER who ordered the contract killing of her fiance in Victoria — and the two men who carried out the murder — have lost their bids to appeal.

Robyn Jane Lindholm, who admitted her role in Wayne Amey’s violent 2013 death, claimed the 25-year sentence she received for the killing was excessive.

Torsten Trabert and John Anthony Ryan also sought to have their jail time cut, saying Mr Amey would still be alive were it not for Lindholm’s “wicked design”.

The Court of Appeal on Thursday dismissed the trio’s bid to appeal and called the crime “truly terrible”.

“Lindholm sought to bring about Amey’s murder for two years,” the court’s judgment said.

“She tried to persuade others to kill him for her, and eventually she persuaded Trabert to do it.

“Trabert and Ryan callously, ruthlessly and violently carried out her wishes.”

Mr Amey was killed the night before he was due in court over a property dispute with Lindholm.

She must serve at least 21 years in jail before she is eligible for parole.

Trabert was jailed for a maximum 28 years, after being granted a discount for leading police to the body, and Ryan was ordered to serve 31 with a minimum of 26.

The two men had each pleaded not guilty and claimed the other was responsible for Mr Amey’s murder.

During a hearing earlier this month where the men asked the court to allow their appeal, their barristers said Lindholm bore the greatest moral culpability for the murder.

“The killing of Wayne Amey is Robyn Lindholm’s wicked design,” Trabert’s barrister Adam Chernok said.

“The one person the killing wouldn’t have taken place without is Robyn Lindholm,” David Hallowes, for Ryan, told the court.

Mr Chernok said Trabert was motivated by sex and was not given enough credit for the assistance he provided investigators.

“Mr Trabert is led by his nose or another part of his anatomy as it were,” Mr Chernok said.

Mr Amey’s body was wedged between boulders at Mt Korong in central Victoria.
