A MELBOURNE sex worker was allegedly bound with cable ties and raped by her client.

Real estate agent Henry Jiang, 34, seemed nice at first but changed, according to the sex worker.

He allegedly made an early-morning booking and raped the escort repeatedly when he was told the session at a vacant house had ended.

AAP reports Jiang and the sex worker smoked ice and chatted for about half an hour when she arrived at the Doncaster property.

Prosecutor Jo Piggott said Jiang was described as a “very nice guy” at the beginning of the booking on April 2, 2014.

The sex worker claimed her client then looked physically different.

His pupils became very large and he allegedly got nasty.

According to Ms Piggott, the woman said, “It’s almost like the devil had jumped into his body or something”.

The pair started out with consensual sexual activity, but Jiang couldn’t perform and asked the woman to extend her time there.

The Crown alleges she declined and was getting ready to leave when Jiang grabbed her, bound her wrists and shoved a sponge in her mouth.

It is alleged the woman was raped repeatedly before fleeing the property about 6am.

After a smoke alarm was activated, she allegedly ran screaming into the street while she was still naked.

Ms Piggott told the court the escort feared she was going to be killed by Jiang.

Jiang’s barrister Con Heliotis QC claims the woman agreed she would stay a bit longer in return for more cash and drugs.

It is alleged she didn’t tell her escort agency because she didn’t want to share her extra earnings.

The court heard everything that happened was consensual however, Jiang admitted taking money from the woman because he believed she owed it to him for drugs.

Mr Heliotis told the court the escort was immediately concerned about the robbing, but only reported the rape half an hour later after the police asked the question.

The court discussed the escort’s behaviour when she left the house and Mr Heliotis told the jury “she would be extremely distressed if she had lost her money and couldn’t buy drugs”.

Jiang has pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one count each of false imprisonment and indecent assault.

The trial continues.
