A Melbourne father has admitted to fatally shooting a man after a dispute over DJ equipment sold on Gumtree.
Tony Panagiotou pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Duane Hutchings on February 9, 2019 in the Supreme Court of Victoria on Tuesday.
“Guilty,” Panagiotou said when asked to enter a plea.
He was initially charged with murder.
It was alleged in earlier court hearings the 59-year-old shot Mr Hutchings with a single-barrel shotgun at an Oakleigh East property.
Mr Panagiotou and others were accused of storming the unit to confront a woman about DJ equipment advertised for sale on Gumtree.
The 44-year-old victim was a father-of-five who was shot in the head and was visiting the house when he was gunned down.
Mr Panagiotou will face a pre-sentence hearing in December.
