A MELBOURNE chiropractor admitted to paying $5000 to an undercover policeman to kidnap his fiance’s ex-boyfriend.

Adrian Oorloff, 47, has pleaded guilty to one charge of incitement to kidnap during a hearing for 19 charges, 12 of which were dropped.

A number of other charges against Oorloff were dumped because prosecutors no longer accuse him of wanting the ex-lover killed.

Allegations that Oorloff stalked the man and his siblings for five weeks were withdrawn.

A charge of incitement to murder was also withdrawn.

In addition to admitting the kidnapping plot, Oorloff pleaded guilty to four drugs charges, including trafficking methylamphetamine, and possessing cartridge ammunition.

Oorloff, who appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court via videolink, did not apply for bail after an earlier application was rejected due to the seriousness of the charges.

He will return to court in May.
