Love Machine co-accused to face marathon trial over fatal nightclub shooting
The men accused of a deadly shooting attack outside a Melbourne nightclub will face a marathon trial by jury starting next month.
Three men accused of being involved in a deadly shooting outside a Melbourne nightclub two years ago will stand trial in the Supreme Court next month.
Jacob Elliott and Allan Fares were both charged with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on the club.
A third man, Moussa Hamka, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder after allegedly hiding the murder weapon at his home.
All three will face a five-week jury trial starting on March 21 after pleading not guilty to charges.
It is alleged that in April 2019 more than six bullets were fired from a .32-calibre assault rifle at the front of the Prahran club.
Security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani, 37, died at the scene and Richard Arow, 28, died from his injuries days later.
Three others were struck by bullets and another was injured trying to avoid the attack.
Mr Elliott, Mr Fares and Mr Hamka’s matter was briefly heard on Monday in the Supreme Court where a trial date was set.
Mr Elliott is the son of underworld figure Nabil Moughnieh, who was shot dead in January 2020.
