Two Comancheros bikies accused of gunning down a former associate of drug kingpin Tony Mokbel will stand trial in the Supreme Court next year.

Laiseni Kakato and Richard Ene, 26 are facing allegations they murdered 51-year-old Mitat Rasimi.

Mr Rasimi was found dead inside his car in Dandenong in 2019.

The court was earlier told the pair allegedly gunned down Mr Rasimi, a father-of-four, because of a debt owed to the Comanchero bikie gang.

Mitat Rasimi was allegedly gunned down while in his car.

He was allegedly shot multiple times before his car rolled down the street and crashed into a pole.

Mr Kakato and Mr Ene’s matter was briefly heard in the Supreme Court on Wednesday where Judicial Registrar Freeman set a trial date for February 13 next year.

The accused were arrested several months after the deadly shooting.

Both were charged with Mr Rasimi’s murder.
