Chilling CCTV after 11yo abduction attempt
Chilling CCTV shows an 11-year-old girl hiding in bushes and seeking help during a terrifying attempted abduction in Melbourne.
Chilling CCTV has emerged of the moment an 11-year-old girl hid in bushes and approached a man for help during a terrifying attempted abduction in Melbourne’s east.
A man driving a grey Audi Q3 SUV allegedly told the schoolgirl to get into his car on Landscape Dr in Doncaster East at 2.40pm on March 28.
Previous vision released by police shows a car - believed to be the Audi - turning into a nearby street about the time of the alleged incident.
The girl had been walking home from school in Doncaster East when she was approached.
Now new footage obtained by Channel Seven shows what happened after the girl’s terrifying encounter.
It shows her running away and hiding in nearby bushes while the car circled back and stopped for a short time.
She then ran from the bushes and sought help from a nearby man who was with his daughter.
Chilling CCTV shows her looking back at the street.

“My phone died,” she can be heard saying in the vision.
“She was shivering and shaking and I haven’t seen someone that terrified and petrified like that,” her rescuer told 7NEWS.
The man said the girl kept apologising for asking him to take her home.
“I said: ‘I’m so proud of you, getting help is a really good skill’,” he said.
The man told Seven the girl’s parents were distraught and have thanked him repeatedly for helping their daughter.
Police said the man drove east before doing a U-turn and stopping a short distance from the girl.
“Investigators have been told the unknown man ordered the girl to get into the vehicle,” police said.
The 11-year-old girl ran and hid in nearby bushes, and police believe the Audi took off south on Taurus Road.
“The man is perceived to be Middle Eastern in appearance with tan skin, black hair, a black beard, and a moustache, “police said in the statement.
The Audi driver was wearing sunglasses with brown lenses and grey T-shirt.
Information can be submitted confidentially via Crime Stoppers, and police urge anyone witnesses to contact authorities.
