Alt-right YouTube star Lauren Southern warns she will cause ‘chaos’ in Australia while backing Peter Dutton

SHE has been banned from visiting Britain, but controversial YouTube star Lauren Southern won’t let that stop her from causing “chaos” during her Aussie tour next month, which includes a stop in Melbourne.

CONTROVERSIAL right wing YouTube star Lauren Southern has warned Australians that she will cause “chaos” when she touches down in the country next month, while praising Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton for his comments on “persecuted” white farmers in South Africa.

Ms Southern is a vocal cheerleader for the alt-right movement and will be touring with fellow right wing speaker Stefan Molyneux next month.

The controversial Canadian is expected to sell out her Melbourne show on July 20, with tickets costing as much as $749.

With more than 500,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 137,000 Instagram followers, she is notorious for being an outspoken advocate against immigration, as well as Islam, gender identity, the LGBTI community and has campaigned against the Black Lives Movement.

Ms Southern said she will arrive earlier than the scheduled touring dates because “I’m not an expert on Australian politics” and plans to “investigate your immigration crisis, to investigate the culture and politics on the ground”.

She said “security reasons” prevented her from saying what those plans were, but that “I can tell you I hope to cause chaos in a good way as I have every other country I’ve gone to”.

Ms Southern was banned from entering the UK in March after antagonising Muslims by displaying flyers reading “Allah is a Gay God” and “Allah is trans”. She claimed the stunt was part of a social experiment to prove Islam is a homophobic religion.

She said her plans to spark chaos in Australia will entail “nothing that will get me banned”, but she hopes to maintain “some outrage”.

“Stefan and I feel like we are going to be entering an environment where we can have some influence and sway on the discourse going on in Australia,” she told News Corp Australia, highlighting immigration as one of the country’s main concerns.

The Canadian commentator praised Mr Dutton for “stepping up” Australia’s voice over the persecution of white South African farmers.

In March, South Africa demanded that Mr Dutton retract comments that suggested white farmers were being persecuted and deserved protection with special visas from a “civilised country”.

Mr Dutton said the farmers in South Africa need help from a “civilised country” like Australia and that they deserve “special attention” because they faced violence and land seizures.

“I would love to see Trump talk about it, I would love to see the UK talk about it, any western nation, but it was such a pleasure to actually see someone step up and that was the Australian government and Australian politicians and really put this on the world stage,” Ms Southern told News Corp Australia.

Mr Dutton said he had directed the Home Affairs department to explore whether the farmers can be accepted into Australia through refugee, humanitarian or other visas, including the in-country persecution visa category.

“I do think on the information that I’ve seen, people do need help, and they need help from a civilised country like ours,” Mr Dutton said.

In fact it was Mr Dutton’s comments about South Africa that spurred Ms Southern, claiming the issue has become “something close to my heart”.

“That’s part of the reason I was very interested in this Australia tour because of the amount of Australians who have a heart for this issue.

“It will be very nice to be among friends who care about that issue.”

The author of Barbarians: How Baby Boomers, Immigrants, and Islam Screwed My Generation released a trailer and 10-part series focusing on South Africa’s distraught farmers and the “murder and brutality” they face on a daily basis.

She claimed she had set out to discover the truth after hearing that “farming is one of the most dangerous jobs on Earth”.

“It’s something that I went to go and investigate first of all because no one else is,

I wasn’t sure what I was going to find but I ended up uncovering lots of government corruption, horrible convictions for white South Africans and now actual policy against them because of their race,” she said.

Australia insisted its humanitarian program was non-discriminatory after South Africa reacted furiously to Mr Dutton’s remarks, which also included a description of white farmers facing “horrific circumstances”, a characterisation South Africa has rejected.

“The South African government is offended by the statements which have been attributed to the Australian Home Affairs Minister and a full retraction is expected,” the foreign ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Australia would not be making special visa considerations for white South African farmers at the time.

Yet Ms Southern backed Mr Dutton, claiming “you have people who are in genuinely terrible situations that already speak the language, would be able to get jobs and assimilate into the culture and I absolutely believe that those people should be put first, of course after applying legally.

“I think they should be put first on that list.

And she would be happy to meet up with Mr Dutton while in Australia.

“It would be very lovely to meet up with any policy makers interested in helping the white South Africa farmer population.”

She said during a YouTube announcement of her tour Down Under: “Australia is a fascinating situation, because it really seems that you guys are at a crossroad. Do you want to retain your culture? … Or, will the boats keep coming?”

Yesterday, she told News Corp Australia that “western culture is the best culture, that’s why everyone wants to come to western countries. They vote with their feet. You don’t see that happening the other way around.

“Multiculturalism for any western country is a massive issue. The lack of integration, the increase of crime violence and mistrust in society, the segregation created due to mass immigration, these are only the beginning phases of something I fear will almost certainly get more worse and violent.

“Anyone with any level of foresight or historical knowledge who have read about the fall of Rome and what happens to civilisation who open their gates to the others know where we are headed, they certainly want more people speaking out about this.

Last year she was detained by the Italian Coast Guard for attempting to obstruct search-and-rescue boats looking to assist shipwrecked migrants in the Mediterranean Sea.

“People think my position is this horrifying, scary, harsh position to say we need to protect our borders and that people cannot illegally enter our nation. This isn’t my opinion, this is the law.

“This is what people voted for, to have borders, an actual nation state, you can’t have a nation state without borders that are enforced. This is what kept countries alive for all of history, it’s bizarre to me, you can’t just open your borders to everyone.

Ms Southern said that despite the fact she believes in the idea of legal immigration, it must be “at a rate that must be properly assimilated into your population so that the nature of your country does not change”.

“There are so many suffering people in the world, so many people in horrible situations and yes of course we would love to help them. Yes I agree with the policies of stopping boats of illegal immigrants, especially when there are wait lists of people that have been in a similarly horrific situation but trying to legally enter the nation.

“The people who try to enter these nations legally already show they do not have a respect for laws in Australia.

“People think this is a hateful message. No. Everyone wants a beautiful multicultural world to work out perfectly but this is a matter of what is reality and there is going to be far more violence, far more deaths in a society that does not have a proper identity, free speech or cohesive western culture.”

The announcement comes six months after controversial all-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos told News Corp Australia that “Australia needed saving from itself” during a tour in December last year.

Yiannopoulos’s Melbourne show also triggered a riot which saw Victorian police officers pelted with rocks and bottles.

Ms Southern said similarly to Mr Yiannopoulos, she was expecting a “decent amount of protesters”.

“I got the usual response, a lot of hate, a lot of joy (after the Australian tour announcement), I can tell you right now our ticket sales are doing amazing,” Ms Southern told News Corp Australia.

“Out of people that are actually politically involved the joy definitely outweighs the hate. I’ve gotten an amazing reception from the audience on Twitter, tons of people saying they’re excited to see me.

“However for people who are not politically involved it seems the news in Australia has already decided their spin of our tour that it’s a racist, xenophobic, hate tour where Stefan and I are going to be coming to kill immigrants and offend everyone.

“They’re going to of course think it’s a horrific Ku Klux Klan meeting but for anyone who has taken the time to read about us, to watch the video, look at the comments, they’re very excited for us to show up.”
