AN event which aims to keep the work of a well-known wildlife rescuer soaring takes off tomorrow evening.

The Wild Island Tasmania shop in Salamanca will host an evening with Craig Webb, founder of the Raptor and Wildlife Refuge of Tasmania.

The hour-long event will include stories of Mr Webb’s experiences with raptors, a “show and tell” component and some background into why there is a need for the refuge, and the reason for so many birds requiring his care.
