Two appear on murder charges in Launceston after man’s death
TWO people appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court charged with the murder of a 41-year-old Newnham man.
TWO people appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of a 41-year-old Newnham man Aaron Matthew Monaco on Friday.
Belinda Leonie Colbran, 39, of Ravenswood and Nathan Thomas Smith, 32, of Newnham appeared before Justice of the Peace Nigel Forteath.
They confirmed their identity before Mr Forteath remanded them in custody to appear at 9.15am on Tuesday.
Mr Matthew died at Parua Rd, Newnham.
Detective Inspector Darren Hopkins said the investigation was still continuing and investigators were interested in hearing from anyone who may have knowledge of the alleged murder or information that might assist that investigation.
