HUMAN remains believed to belong to a Latrobe man who has been missing since 2012 have been found in the Warrawee Forest Reserve at Latrobe.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the identification of the deceased.

The remains were discovered on Saturday afternoon.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.

A Facebook page called “Missing Andrew John Jarman” has been renamed “In Loving Memory of Andrew John Jarman” in the wake of the discovery on the weekend.

“You can finally rest in peace, you will be forever loved, forever missed and forever in my heart,” one of the posts says.

Mr Jarman’s family has requested that no questions be asked about the discovery of his remains until specialised testing confirms his DNA.

Mr Jarman failed to return home after going for a bicycle ride on August 19, 2012.

The then 35-year-old was last seen riding out of the Warrawee Reserve towards Latrobe.

Extensive searches failed to find his body.
