A POLICE officer has received minor head and facial injuries after the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided in southern Tasmania.
A POLICE officer has received minor head and facial injuries after the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided in southern Tasmania.
The officer received a concussion and was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for observation after the incident occurred at Cygnet about 2.20pm yesterday.
The driver of the silver Renault sedan involved in the incident was treated by her doctor for injuries caused by glass fragmentation.
It is believed the impact was on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The Channel Highway at Cygnet was closed for two hours as the scene was cleared.
The incident occurred at the intersection of the Channel Highway and Thorpe and Esplanade Rd.
