A MAN has been charged over a gun theft from Tasmania’s Southern Midlands.

A police raid on a Bridgewater home yesterday allegedly found two of the firearms stolen from Elderslie last Friday along with a quantity of the ammunition.
A 22-year-old Bridgewater man has been charged with aggravated burglary, stealing, possession of a stolen firearm, ammunition, and firearm parts.
Police are continuing to search for the remaining four firearms.
They today reminded people to remain vigilant with home security and report any suspicious activity to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or police on 131 444.
