POLICE are keen to speak to the driver of a car which crashed through the fence of a Launceston home and then caught fire.
Officers were called to the scene of the crash on George Town Rd, Newnham, about 4.30am today.
The car landed on its roof and subsequently caught fire, with the driver fleeing the scene.
No one in the house was injured, with Tasmania Police forensics officers set to examine the property today.
It follows a similar incident last week when a stolen ute was set alight at Glenorchy and rolled 80m into the front of a Brent St house after its brakes melted.
Damage to the Glenorchy house was estimated to be at least $20,000, with the ute destroyed by the fire.
