A WELL deserving Adelaide family is off on the adventure of a lifetime after winning a 35-day caravanning tour of Tasmania.
Mother of two Cassie Taylor was sitting by her oldest son Matthew Dickinson’s hospital bed as the 13-year-old received treatment for his cystic fibrosis when she entered the competition on social media.
“I saw the Sunrise competition on Facebook and it said it was the last day to enter,” she said.
“So I wrote in something about how we could really use a holiday and it would be an amazing opportunity for the boys to explore the state.”
Ms Taylor said the family was excited to be in Tasmania for the first time.
“It’s just so wonderful to have time away together.
“I’ve done a lot of research and we’re looking forward to Coles Bay, Wineglass Bay and Cradle Mountain.
“We can explore at our leisure, normally you would be lucky to get a 10-day holiday but to have 35 days we can actually take it all in.”
The 35-day holiday in a luxury Apollo caravan will take Matthew and brother Josh, 11, and their mum and step-dad all over the state.
