Westfield, Drakes added to South Australian Covid exposure sites list

A South Australian Westfield and several supermarkets have been added to a ballooning list of exposure sites, as hundreds are forced into hotel quarantine.

A busy Westfield food court and a number of supermarkets have been added to South Australia’s exposure site list as hundreds are forced into hotel quarantine over fears of two superspreading events.

The state’s cluster grew to 14 on Thursday, with seven cases linked to the Tenafeate Creek Winery and three to the Greek on Halifax restaurant in the city.

Authorities believe both could be superspreading events, and moved 91 restaurant diners and 125 winery patrons to hotel quarantine facilities on Thursday after dozens of close contacts delayed their testing.

So far, 53 people who attended the Adelaide CBD restaurant have been tested, while only 34 of the patrons from the winery have been swabbed.

While in quarantine, people will be under the same tough rules as international arrivals.

Four new testing locations will open at Mile End, Warradale, Para Hills and Harbour Town in a bid to curve long wait times.

Many South Australians have been waiting 12-hours to get their Covid-19 swab as the number of exposure sites continues to grow.

NEW EXPOSURE LOCATIONS

Anyone who has been to any of the exposure sites listed below must complete a SA Health form.

Anyone one who has been to one of these tier 1 locations must isolate for 14 days, as well as their household contacts, and immediately get tested and be retested on days five and 13:

Clovercrest: Drakes Supermarket at Clovercrest Shopping Centre on Wednesday, July 14 from 10.30am to 11.30am

Marion: Westminster School (Full day course Room 115) on Monday, July 19 from 8.15am to 4.30pm

Marion: Westminster School (Dining Hall) on Monday, July 19 from midday to 2.30pm

Modbury: Food Court at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza Shopping Centre on Wednesday, July 14 from 1.00pm to 2.30pm

Modbury: Service SA, 116 Reservoir Road, Modbury (customers and front door staff)

on Tuesday 13 July from 11.00am to 12.00pm

Regency Park: TAFE SA Regency Campus (G Block) on Monday 19 July from 8.30am to 4.30pm

Regency Park: TAFE SA Regency Campus (C and F Block, iCentral and Main Entrance)

on Monday 19 July from 9.45am to 11.00am

Seppeltsfield: Seppeltsfield Winery on Monday, July 19 from 8.45am to 6pm

Surrey Downs: Drakes Supermarket on Friday 16 July from 11.45am to 12.15pm

Anyone who has been to one of the following tier 2 locations must immediately get tested, get retested on days five and 13 and isolate for 14 days:

Marion: Westminster School (100 Block – senior school office, administration and associated buildings) on Monday, July 19 from 8.15am to 4pm

Modbury: City of Tea Tree Gully Civic Centre (Justice of the Peace) on Saturday, July 10 from 11.30am to 1pm

Those who have been to the following tier 4 locations must monitor for symptoms:

Barossa Valley: Barossa Valley Visitor Centre public toilet on Tuesday, July 20 from 10am to 11am

Gawler East: X Convenience Gawler East on Sunday, July 18 from 10pm to 10.30pm

Marion: Westminster School (excluding Room 115, Dining Hall and 100 Block) on Monday, July 19 from 8.15am to 4.30pm

All other exposure sites are listed on the SA Health website.
