Tziporah Malkah in court to defend assault charges
REPORTERS have described former model Tziporah Malkah’s appearance outside court as bizarre. Now she’s fighting back.
REALITY TV star and former model Tziporah Malkah has hit back over reports of her bizarre behaviour outside a South Australian court after she appeared on assault charges against the police.
The I’m A Celebrity star, formerly known as Kate Fischer, appeared outside Victor Harbor Magistrates Court in South Australia, where she is contesting one count of assault and one count of resisting police.
She has also been charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of disorderly behaviour.
The charges arose after an incident with her then-boyfriend, Guy Vasey, at the couple’s home last month.

After her arrest and release on bail, Malkah claimed on Instagram the police had assaulted her.
“Please enjoy these bruises committed by the police,” she wrote beneath a photo of bruising on her arms.
“I was quietly on screen in my room, he called the police and had them come over, arrest me for assault.
“I was finally taken to (the) cop shop where among other things I was dragged along the floor, pushed and shoved and made to lie in my own urine in a cold room with no blanket.
“They would not allow me to take my medication or see a (doctor).”
The Advertiser reported that police allege Malkah “resisted three named SA Police officers ... and assaulted them.”
She has also requested to leave South Australia in order to move to Sydney.
Outside the court, she faced television cameras, asked for selfies with news reporters and smoked cigarettes before making a statement in which she claimed she had been “bullied a lot”.
“Try living my life and not be stressed. I’ve had a doozy,” she said.
“I’ve done my dash in Melbourne, I may as well burn a new path of craziness through Sydney,” she laughed.

“What I can say is that I’m a woman who stands up for herself these days,” she said.
“If I was maybe six inches shorter and meek and crying and all the rest of it, I think I would’ve been treated a little differently.
“Instead, I’m a woman who chooses to fight back.
“I don’t deny fighting for myself. I don’t deny standing up for myself. So many women are like, stand for yourself, and now I have stood up for myself.”
After watching a 7News report covering the incident, Tziporah defended herself on Twitter.
“I’m not bizarre. I’m angry, hurt & confused. Yet I refuse to behave meekly. I stand up for myself,” she wrote.
