Chol Manjok and Semain Akue Bol, both aged 19 from Victoria, fronted the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Mr Manjok is facing charges of failing to comply with Covid-19 directions and stating false details at Adelaide Airport as well as disorderly behaviour at Adelaide.

Mr Bol was charged with two counts of failing to comply with directions — one alleged to have occurred at Adelaide Airport and the other in the Adelaide CBD — as well as failing to give his identity to an authorised officer at Adelaide Airport.

Police told the court the alleged offences for both accused were all committed on August 4.

Both Mr Manjok and Mr Bol appeared before Magistrate Christopher Smolicz via video link from the city watch-house.

The court saw the men were both in the company of two other people dressed in full PPE.

Neither of them applied for bail.

The matter was adjourned until later this month.

Under South Australia’s border restrictions, travellers who have been in Victoria are prohibited from entering SA.

Victoria initially recorded its first “doughnut day” since June on Wednesday, before a locally acquired case was revealed later in the day.

Victorian health authorities are on edge after the case was recorded at Al-Taqwa College.

South Australia recorded no new infections on Thursday.
