Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Phil Burton join St John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight line-up
Three more nationally-recognised singers will grace the stage at this year’s St John Carols by Candlelight, including an early 2000s rock star.
A star-studded musical line-up will bring joy to the world and attendees of Adelaide’s premier Christmas carols concert this year.
Rogue Traders frontwoman Natalie Bassingthwaighte will join Human Nature member Phil Burton and beloved songstress Rachael Beck on stage at this year’s St John Carols by Candelight.
The popular event will return for its 80th year on December 14, with other stars including Hugh Sheridan, Dami Im and Emma Memma already locked in to perform.
BassingthwaiBassingthwaightete said she was excited to be able to spread some Christmas cheer in SA this year.
“Growing up I always loved performing with and for family,” she says.
“Because Christmas is such a special time and Carols unite us all, it’s going to feel like I’m performing to one big giant happy family in Adelaide,” she said.
St John Ambulance SA are custodians of the event, and chief executive Mark Groote said it was set to be one of the biggest nights yet.
“Our 2024 line up just got even more wonderful with Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Phil Burton and Rachael Beck now on-board. And we were brimming with talent and excitement already,” he said.
“This 80th Carols is definitely going to be a night to remember – we can’t wait to see the crowd swell to at least 15,000 in Elder Park this year to experience the magic of Christmas with us at Adelaide’s biggest Christmas concert.”
All the festive fun kicks off with gates opening at 3pm and the City of Adelaide pre-show from 5pm, followed by the main event at 8.15pm.
The man in the red suit is also slated to make an appearance.
The carols will be broadcast the following day at 7pm on 7Two and 7Plus and replayed on the main channel on Christmas Day.
