Man left with life-threatening injuries after hit and run

A pedestrian has sustained life-threatening injuries in an alleged hit and run on a suburban street.

A man has been left with life-threatening injuries after he was struck in an alleged hit and run.

Police were called to Hawker St in Bowden in Adelaide’s north about 7.50pm on Monday following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

The 50-year-old man from Bowden suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The car allegedly fled the scene before police arrived.

Hawker St was closed but has since reopened.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
