Man charged with murder after body found inside Adelaide home

A man has been charged with murder and will be subjected to a bedside hearing in hospital after the discovery of a man’s body in an Adelaide suburb.

A man has been charged over the killing of a 60-year-old man in Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to a business on Henley Beach Rd in Torrensville about 12.30am on Tuesday after security alarms were triggered.

Upon arrival, SA Police discovered several businesses had been broken into with windows smashed, and located a 32-year-old man with a leg injury as a result of the break-ins.

The man then directed police to a residential property in Cowandilla, where they located the body of a 60-year-old man.

Police believe the deceased man was the resident of the address and the two men were known to each other.

The 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to hospital, where he remains.

He has since been charged with murder and will have a bedside hearing on Wednesday.

Detectives were on the scene on Tuesday morning collecting evidence and placing them in brown paper bags.

Residents recounted hearing loud noises and shouting in the area, waking up one teen who was asleep in a nearby street.

“I heard a man yelling in pain,” the teen told the Adelaide Advertiser.

“It was pretty late at night as well, so it kind of woke me up.”
