Concerning footage has shown the dramatic moment a woman involved in a verbal altercation with police dropped to the floor after being tasered.

The dramatic scene unfolded in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall at about 11.30am Thursday when three police surrounded the woman in front of the mall’s Plaza.
South Australia Police said members of the Security Response Section were called to the scene after the woman was seen carrying a knife.
Mall security staff approached the woman before she produced a knife and threatened them.
When police arrived, they subdued the woman using a taser.

She was found to have a box cutter and two pairs of scissors in her possession.
The 36-year-old woman from Blackwood was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she will be assessed and on her release she will likely be charged with carrying an offensive weapon and assault.
Three police officers surrounded a woman who appeared to be shouting in their direction.

As she stepped towards one, they discharged the weapon and she dropped to the ground.

She rolled onto her stomach then onto her back, at first clutching one hand around her arm.
Both arms then flailed around by her sides as she writhed from the effect of the taser.
