Video captures the terrifying moment at a high school when a 12-year-old boy allegedly removes an object from his bag and threatens another student.

Footage has emerged of the moment a year seven student allegedly removed a knife from his backpack and threatens another student.

The 12-year-old boy, who attended an Adelaide high school, was captured on video removing a paring knife from his school bag.

At least two students filmed the incident and the student can be heard asking, “Do you actually want to be stabbed?” to his peer.

When he realised he was on video, he then asked, “Why the f**k are you recording, mate?”

Police were called and officers spoke to the boy involved as well as his parents.

There were no injuries in the incident, but the high school has reportedly been working on reducing incidents of violence.

7News reported in the exclusive story that the education department had confirmed the boy was suspended.
