Police in Mt Isa, Queensland, have revealed more details about a blast that killed a man and his two young children.

Charlie Hinder, 38, is believed to have used explosives to blow the caravan he and his two children Nyobi, 7, and River, 5, were in last month.

At first police thought gas bottles were used but now have determined Hinder used explosives, the Courier Mail reports.

This would be truly terrifying, but scarred for life?

A mother in the United Kingdom is worried her son will in fact be scarred for life because he walked in on she and her husband having sex.

The seven-year-old walked in on the pair having oral sex —shocking them and himself. The mother wrote to parenting site Mumsnet to ask if she'd scarred him for life.

Most of the replies were sympathetic and said that no, he wouldn’t be scared. Mortified maybe, but not scarred.

A man at a newsagent in Sydney this morning got the shock of his life when he was shot at by robbers.

The victim was in his Paddington newsagent at about 5.45am when two men burst in and took a small amount of cash from him.

He chased them from his shop out onto William St when one of the men pulled out a gun and fired at him.

The man wasn’t injured and police are hunting the two offenders.

The vlogger Sam suspected his wife Nia might be pregnant so obtained a urine sample, left in the toilet (yes, really) and then had it tested.

He then broke the happy news to her and uploaded the footage to YouTube for all of our viewing pleasure.

A US teenager has been jailed for five years after tying up an 85-year-old man and leaving him on a coffe table for 20 hours.

Shaina Foster, 17, met Paul Aronson on a “sugar daddy” website.

Shaina and her twin sister Shalaine took $420 in cash and his credit cards and went shopping for make-up after the robbery, reports the New York Daily News.

They met Mr Aronson on seekingarrangement.com, which allows users to “Find Your Sugar Baby.”

The sentencing judge said the result could have been far worse if Mr Aronson hadn’t have been rescued.

Part of a major motorway in Melbourne has been closed this morning after a fatal collision.

A man was killed after the white Mazda sedan he was driving collided with another car on the Princes Freeway southwest of Melbourne.

Police are investigating reports the man was seen driving on the wrong side of the road. A female in the other car has been seriously injured.

The freeway Geelong-bound was closed after the crash while police treated the accident scene as a crime scene.

A female drug smuggler in the US needed doctors to remove a package of heroin from her vagina after she was caught in Arizona.

An officer pulled over a car Miranda Baldonado, 19, was in and grew suspicious of the way she and a friend, Sarah Valencia, were acting.

It wouldn’t have helped the car was being driven by a convicted drug trafficker

A search of the car revealed heroin wrapped in condoms. Valencia was able to remove her package without help but Baldonado needed to be briefly hospitalised.

A suicide bomber overnight has killed 17 people in Saudi Arabia.

The explosion took place as worshippers were praying at a mosque used by Saudi special forces in Aseer province, AFP reports.

The victims were reportedly members of an elite anti terrorist unit in charge of domestic security.

The explosion is the latest in a series of blasts targeting the Shi’ite minority in Saudi Arabia.

You might get your chance this morning if the popular host honours a tweet in which he vowed to “get his gear off” if Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke didn’t hit a century during through Australia’s terrible Ashes clash with England.

As we all know now Clarke didn’t do that, only making 10 measly runs. Before though, Stefanovic joked Channel 9 bosses and even Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull had been alerted.

So either stay tuned or hide your eyes.

From the ever-growing misbehaving rapper files....

US rapper Busta Rhymes was charged overnight with assaulting a staff member at a New York gym — with a protein shake.

The 43-year-old has been charged with assault after the container hit the worker in the back of the head. Apparently the pair have a history of run-ins, and in this instance Rhymes was upset he couldn’t being a camera crew into the gym.

He appears in court in November.

A New Zealand father has gone all out so his six-year-old daughter doesn’t feel different.

Charlotte Campbell had to have a cochlear implant and her Dad Alistair shaved all his hair off and had his own implant tattooed onto his head to show her she wasn’t alone.

Mr Campbell says he will grow his hair back but shave it off whenever Charlotte wants to look at the tattoo.

While debate rages within the ALP about its asylum seeker policy response, the Federal Government has clammed it has been a full year since a people-smuggling boat reached land.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton says 20 boats, carrying 600 people, have been turned around since December 2013, the Daily Telegraph reports.

The world has probably just recorded its first ‘wet willy’ arrest.

A man in the United States has been charged after he wet his finger and put it in someones ear. The victim in this case was a four-year-old boy, who was in a doctor’s waiting room with his mother.

Michael Migani, 34, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment for the act. As well as the conviction, he was fined $500.

One of Australia’s most infamous murder cases of recent times is heading back to the courtroom.

Gerard Baden-Clay is set to appeal his conviction for murdering wife Allison, with lawyers acting on his behalf appearing today at Queensland Court of Appeal.

Baden-Clay is challenging how jurors were told to interpret key evidence and says there was a miscarriage of justice.

He was jailed for life with a minimum term of 15 years last year. Baden-Clay is not expected to appear in court.

Good news this morning — the two-year-old boy who had been missing in Cairns has been found.

In a statement early today, Queensland Police confirmed Oliver Steer had been located.. He was allegedly taken from a home south of Cairns yesterday afternoon by a man known to him.

How did anyone think this could have been a good idea, or acceptable?

A Danish magazine has rated black people on a graph depending on how “evil” the person is considered.

The Politiken called their article a “barometer of black icons’, and features everyone from historical figures like Malcolm X to Martin Luther King to ones from today like Beyoncé and Bill Cosby.

Reaction to the piece has been understandably bad.

While everyone except the most keen cricket tragics were asleep Australia just fell apart at the hands of the English overnight.

The Aussies were removed for 60 runs on day one of the fourth Ashes test in what’s widely thought to be one of our worst days of test cricket ever.

People in New York’s Time Square are used to strange sights — but Spider Man fighting?

Video posted online by Twitter user Geoff Golberg shows someone dressed in a Spider Man outfit fighting with a man while people gather round to watch.

One person even took a selfie while Spidy tried to wrestle his opponent to the ground. The video stops before we find out if the Superhero won or not.

Doctors in Chile feared Estela Melendez had a large tumour growing inside her stomach and ordered urgent tests to find out what the problem was.

Imagine their surprise — and Ms Melendez’s — when they discovered what they thought was a tumour was a calcified foetus in her womb, which was harmless to her

The 91-year-old had been carrying the foetus for at least 60 years. She and her husband had never been able to have children, she told CNN
