Detective Inspector Garry Watts said the information received at the time was significant, but more was now needed to find who was responsible.
“Our objective with this review is to bring the unique investigative skill of officers from the Sex Crimes Unit together with the investigative team to hopefully bring about a successful result to this case,” he said.
“We are again appealing for anyone who may not have come forward at the time and may have been reluctant to do so, to contact us.
“Some time has passed and while this information may have been pushed to the side of your mind, it is information we feel is crucial to this case.”
