Two people reportedly dead, two seriously injured following stabbing

BREAKING: Two women have been stabbed to death in far north Queensland, with a man being questioned over the incident.

TWO women have been stabbed to death with a man being questioned over the incident in Cairns.

Police were called to the Wiltshire Drive home in Gordonvale just before 4pm, finding two women dead at the scene.

Another man and woman are being treated at the scene for injuries.

All four people are known to each other.

A man is currently assisting police with their inquiries with a crime scene declared.

Scientific officers are on the scene as police investigate the incident.

The incident is believed to have happened at Gordonvale, south of Cairns.
