TWO Queenslanders will battle it out in the final 12 of The Voice Australia after the latest knockout round.

TWO Queenslanders will battle it out in the top 12 of ­reality show The Voice.

Brisbane’s Judah Kelly last night beat Melbourne’s Kelsie Rimmer in their battle, singing Miley Cyrus’s The Climb to go through to the live rounds with coach Delta Goodrem.

Kelly joined Gold Coaster Claire Howell, now based in Sydney, on Team Delta after she beat fellow Sydney-based Queenslander James Banks performing Katy Perry’s Rise in Sunday night’s battle round.

Howell, competing on The Voice for the second year in a row after being knocked out in its early stages last year, ­admitted her self-doubt had held her back.

“My confidence sometimes lacks and that sometimes ­defeats me,” Howell said.

“Getting through to the lives is amazing and this whole experience is the most fun thing I have ever done.”

Kelly, who has appeared on the X Factor and is favourite to win, said he also struggled to believe in himself.

“I had that expectation that I wouldn’t really do so well, so to make it this far is quite mind-blowing,” he said.

“To have such huge support … I have no words at all, it’s very surreal.

“Of course, everyone had a chance of coming out in top 12 but I can’t believe it’s me.”
