Teen’s ear bitten off in Gold Coast nightclub brawl
IT appears someone was channelling Mike Tyson during a wild fight in Surfers Paradise overnight. Part of a teen’s ear was bitten off during an all-in brawl.
A TEENAGER has had part of his ear bitten off during an all-in brawl outside a Surfers Paradise nightclub early this morning.
Police were called to a mass fight outside The Avenue on the corner of Orchid and Cavill Avenues at 2.20am.
Two men allegedly started fighting with another man, prompting friends to rush in throwing punches, a police spokeswoman told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Police made several arrests but it was while on the walk back to the station that a 19-year-old Southport man told officers part of his ear had been bitten off during the fight.
On closer inspection, the teen was missing part of the top of his ear, about the size of a 5C coin.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital and two men have been charged.
A 25-year-old man from Yarragon, Victoria will face grievous bodily harm charges in Southport Magistrates Court today while a 22-year-old man from Parkwood has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and will face court on January 25.
