Road rage incident ends in ugly confrontation, court date for Ipswich driver

A TERRIFYING road rage incident captured on dash cam video has ended in an ugly confrontation and a court date for an aggressive Queensland driver.

A TERRIFYING road rage incident has ended in an ugly confrontation and charges for an Ipswich man.

The incident, which took place in the Queensland city about 8am Monday morning, was captured by one of the drivers involved in a dash cam video.

In the video, shared online, a car can be seen swerving dangerously in front of the dash cam-equipped vehicle, apparently trying to block its path.

The Mazda is seen dangerously swerving and braking in front of the other vehicle.

As the cars continue their journey and eventually exit Cunningham Highway, the same vehicle is seen lying in wait, apparently trying to block the vehicle with the camera.

As the driver tries to make their way around the waiting car, we hear the crunch of the vehicles colliding.

The video ends in an aggressive confrontation outside Ipswich police station.

As the two vehicles pull up, the driver of the other car can be seen running towards the vehicle filming the incident. The man appears to shove the other driver into the side of his car before an ugly, expletive-laden argument takes place.

The film ends with a man approaching and apparently shoving the other driver.

“You ran me over!” a man can be heard screaming at the other, who can only be heard swearing.

A 30-year-old man from the suburb of Leichardt has since been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence, public nuisance and assault of a police officer.

He will appear at Ipswich court on April 6.
