THE Logan house being forensically examined as part of the Tiahleigh Palmer murder investigation was recently left vacant.

Police were today fingerprinting the low-set housing commission home on Logan Reserve Rd at Waterford West, after visiting the property yesterday.

A mother and her sons had lived at the house for eight years but moved out in recent weeks.

One of the former residents arrived at the home and told The Courier-Mail he did not know the murdered schoolgirl.

Neighbours confirmed government cleaners had only recently cleaned out the house and had returned with police.

Police have been doorknocking the street, asking residents if they had seen Tia in the area.

No one has been charged over her disappearance.

The property is about one kilometre from the Marsden school where she was last seen at.

This is one of a number of properties that have been searched in the region by police as part of the investigation.
