A CRIME spree in Brisbane involving five teenagers has ended after the group was arrested and charged with a medley of offences yesterday.

Police arrested the quartet, aged 17 to 19, after they fled the scene of a crash on Bracken Ridge Rd, Bracken Ridge, and had to be tracked by police helicopter.

It is understood the teens were speeding when they ran a red light, lost control and crashed the car.

The vehicle had allegedly been stolen from a Wilston home on December 17.

The driver of the stolen car, a 17-year-old Keperra man, will face court today charged with 21 offences, which include the robbery and assault of a 13-year-old boy at Sinnamon Park on December 19.

Police said the 13-year-old had been walking along Glen Ross Road at about 5.30pm when he was assaulted and robbed by two males driving a stolen Mercedes sedan.

The alleged accomplice, a 14-year-old boy, was arrested and charged separately.

An 18-year-old Brighton woman, a 19-year-old Logan Central man, and a 17-year-old Windsor woman have also been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, trespass and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.

They will face Sandgate Magistrates Court on January 16, January 21, and January 12 respectively.

ON WEDNESDAY: FIVE people have been taken into custody following a police search in Brisbane’s north.

It is understood the alleged offenders had stolen a vehicle and were involved in a ramming rampage on Bracken Ridge Road at Bald Hills.

EARLIER: Police are searching for a number of people who were allegedly involved in stealing a vehicle north of Brisbane this morning.

It is understood police were alerted to a possibly stolen vehicle involved in an incident on Bald Hills Road, Bald Hills about 11.15am Wednesday.

Several people are now on the run from police and a search is underway.
