Police hunt man who allegedly used spear gun in Gold Coast robbery

A MAN is on the run after allegedly holding up a Gold Coast bottle shop armed with a spear gun.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly used a spear gun to rob a bottle shop on the Gold Coast.

The man is accused of threatening a male attendant with the weapon after entering the store in Coomera on Saturday night and demanding cash, police said.

He fled the scene with cash and remains on the run.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery,

The man is described as being around 180cms tall and had a proportionate build.
