Police filmed during violent arrest in Brisbane

POLICE appear to throw multiple punches and tackles that wouldn’t look out of place on a football field in a violent arrest in Brisbane.

POLICE officers have been filmed in a brutal punch-up in Brisbane.

Fists fly and officers appear to be involved in violent tackles in the shocking vision, which shows at least three officers apparently laying in to a man.

The video, posted to social media by a witness, allegedly depicts a violent arrest made in Fortitude Valley at the weekend.

Officers are shown struggling to contain a man, who had reportedly been kicked out of a nearby nightclub.

One of the police officers is seen throwing multiple punches while others appear to push and knee the man as they attempt to restrain him.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Police told news.com.au the video would be examined by Queensland Police, along with all the circumstances leading up to the incident depicted.

Police are encouraging anyone with complaints about the incident to come forward.

“Any member of the public who has a complaint about the conduct of police is encouraged to contact the QPS on 131 144 or the Crime and Corruption Commission,” police told news.com.au.
