Woman’s body found at Hervey Bay beach in Queensland

A woman has been found dead at a beach in southern Queensland this morning after a passer-by spotted her body in the water.

A woman has been found dead at a Queensland beach after a passer-by reportedly saw a body floating in the water this morning.

Police were called to Esplanade at Scarness in Hervey Bay just before 7am after the woman was spotted in the water.

When officers arrived a member of the public had already pulled the woman’s body onto the sand, according to the Fraser Coast Chronicle.

Queensland Police said the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious and they are working on identifying the woman.

She has been described as middle-aged, caucasian, with blonde/brown hair and was wearing a black top and blue pants.

An investigation has been launched and anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
