Search for 28-year-old Qld mum Tayla Spies continues
The desperate search for a 28-year-old mum remains ongoing, eight days after she was reported missing.
The search for a young Queensland woman who was reported missing eight days ago remains ongoing, police said on Monday morning.
Tayla Spies, 28, was last seen travelling on the Carnarvon Highway, south of the Condamine turn-off heading towards Roma, between 10am and 1pm on February 2.
The young mother was driving a white 2017 dual cab Toyota HiLux with a distinctive black bumper bar, blacked-out wheels and Queensland registration 559 GJ7.
Ms Spies is described as caucasian, with brown shoulder-length hair, blue eyes, a slim build and about 170cm tall.
She was last seen wearing a fluorescent pink long sleeve shirt and light-coloured shorts, police said.
However, sister Rebecca said Tayla may now be wearing different clothes.
“She did end up changing into a white shirt with purple writing on it and a Mimco shoulder bag in the afternoon on Sunday,” Rebecca wrote in a social media post on Saturday.
Police continue to seek urgent public assistance to locate Tayla and hold “serious concerns” for her welfare.
Family and friends have taken to social media, pleading for help from the public.
“PLEASE if anyone has seen Tayla or her car, report it asap!” her sister Rebecca wrote.
“We just want to know she’s okay and safe!”
A friend named Tyran Norford also posted a series of images of the pair to Facebook, saying Tayla hadn’t “made contact or been heard of since” the morning of February 2.
“She’s listed on the missing persons, share this post please,” he wrote.
Police are appealing to anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately.
