Queensland woman, 67, dead in alleged domestic violence killing
A 25-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a woman in her 60s died after being found with a major head injury.
A far north Queensland woman will face court on Tuesday charged with murder.
A woman in her 60s could not be resuscitated when emergency services were called to a Cairns home on Monday.
Police will allege the death was a domestic violence murder.
Emergency services were called to a home on Joan St in the suburb of Bungalow on Monday, police said in a statement.
A 67-year-old Bungalow woman had sustained a life-threatening head injury.
Paramedics and police could not revive her, and she was declared dead at the scene a short time later.
A 25-year-old Cairns North woman is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday to face a murder (domestic violence offence) charge.
