Police dog Quizz missing after pursuing alleged offender at Redbank Plains
A search is underway for a beloved Queensland police dog who went missing after trying to track a wanted man near Brisbane this morning.
A search is underway for beloved Queensland Police dog Quizz after he went missing while trying to track a wanted man in Ipswich, outside Brisbane, this morning.
Cops have made a public appeal to help find Quizz after he became separated from his handler at about 3am while chasing an alleged offender at Redbank Plains.
Police said the dog squad were called after the man ran from a stolen vehicle near Greenwood Village Rd.
PD Quizz – a three-year-old Sabel German Shepherd with a black and tan hide – chased the alleged thief but became separated from the squad.
Police said PD Quizz was wearing a black tracking harness with a long tracking lead.

“He is not considered dangerous, however PD Quizz should not be approached,” a police statement said.
“If PD Quizz is sighted please contact police immediately.”
Officers are searching the surrounding area, but have not yet found the dog.
