A man charged with the stabbing murder of a man south of Brisbane will be sentenced in the new year, a court has been told.
A Queensland man charged with the stabbing murder of a man south of Brisbane will be sentenced in the new year, a court has been told.
Police allege Mason Sione Freche fatally stabbed the 47-year-old man at a house in the Logan suburb of Kingston in March last year.
The victim was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but died from his wound in hospital.
At Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday, Mr Freche’s lawyer said his client did not need to be arraigned and a date could be set for his sentencing next year.
Mr Freche will return to court on February 14, 2022.
He remains in custody on remand.
