Man suffers critical injuries after 40m fall from Glass House Mountains

A man has suffered critical injuries after falling 40m while rock climbing in Queensland today.

A man has suffered critical injuries after falling 40m from Mount Ngungun on Saturday.

A climber has suffered “critical injuries” after falling from Queensland’s Glass House Mountains on Saturday afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man, in his 20s, fell 40m at noon while climbing Mount Ngungun, on the Sunshine Coast.

A rescue helicopter has been deployed to the Glass House Mountains after a "significant" fall was reported.

Paramedics were winched from a rescue helicopter after the incident was reported.
