The Brisbane Airport team eventually turned to social media, prompting a mass search effort to reunite the toy with its rightful owner.
After hundreds of shares and comments, the crew located Mia’s mum, Jenna, who’d flown from Adelaide to Townsville via Brisbane that day.
On the trip back, Dino got the best seat on the plane’s flight deck to meet Jenna and Mia at the airport.
Dino is now safely back in Mia’s hands after the exciting journey.
Virgin Australia social media leader Geetanjali Rai said the excitement was all over Mia’s face.
“We all know how powerful social media can be, which is why we put a call out to help find Dino’s rightful owner,” Ms Rai said.
“Within an hour, our online community got behind the cause with hundreds of likes, shares and tags among friends.”
