Queensland Police have confirmed the sad news that a young child has died in a quad bike rollover over the weekend.

A young child has died in a quad bike rollover in Queensland over the weekend.

Queensland Police confirmed that the incident occurred at a property in Isla at about 4.30pm on Saturday.

It’s understood the child was a four-year-old girl.

Police said another child sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the sudden and non-suspicious death of a child in hospital following a quad bike rollover at a property in Isla in the state’s southwest around 4.30pm Saturday, 17 June,” they said.

“There is no further information available.”

Also over the weekend, a child believed to be a 17-year-old Queensland boy died when the Ford Falcon he was driving struck a pole in Boggabilla, just south of the Queensland-NSW border.
