Crocodile mauls man and kills his dog

A man has been mauled by a crocodile in an attack that left his dog dead.
The dog owner, 38, was near a boat ramp in Bloomfield in Far North Queensland at about 5.30pm on Wednesday when the crocodile bit him on the leg.
He was treated at the Wujal Wujal clinic while waiting for a rescue helicopter to fly him to Cairns.
The man is now in a stable condition with lower leg injuries.
His dog sadly died in the attack.
