Child in hospital after being mauled by dog at home in Dysart, Queensland
A child has been rushed to hospital with a “significant” injury after she was bitten on the face by a dog.
A child has been hospitalised after being mauled by a dog in a central Queensland town.
Paramedics were called to a property in Dysart - a mining town and rural locality in the Isaac region, south of Mackay - just after 10.30am on Tuesday, after reports a dog attacked a child.
The girl was at a family home at the time, The Daily Mercury has reported.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a female toddler was transported to Dysart Hospital with a significant laceration to the face.
She is in a stable condition.
