A lucky lotto player is walking around a millionaire — and they don’t even know it.

There was only one division one winner of Wednesday’s Gold Lotto draw 4257, pocketing that person $1m.

But as of Thursday afternoon, the winning ticket is still yet to be claimed.

To make matters worse, the ticket is unregistered, meaning lottery officials have no way of contacting the person to let them know of their fortuitous windfall.

The winning entry was purchased at Pacific Pines Newsagency on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Owner Hao Xu said on Thursday it was third time luck for his agency.

“It was pretty surreal when I woke up this morning and heard we had sold a division one winning entry worth $1 million,” he said.

“It’s our second division one winning entry in the last five months … this brings our division one tally to three since owning the outlet.”

The Lott oversees lotteries in Australia. Spokeswoman Anna Hobdell said anyone who purchased a Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto entry from Pacific Pines Newsagency should check their ticket.

“It could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door, or car glove box,” Ms Hobdell said.

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The winning numbers were 1, 44, 8, 31, 41 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 26.
