Man dies after falling from balcony on Gold Cast

A man has died after falling from the balcony of an apartment complex at a busy seaside suburb.

A man has died after falling from the balcony of a low-rise apartment unit at a busy coastal suburb in South East Queensland.

Emergency services were called to the unit at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast about 6.30am on Monday.

Paramedics treated a man aged in his 60s at the scene for head injuries.

He died at the scene.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
