Goliath the saltie puts bite on Dreamworld’s croc feeding time
THIS is what it looks like when you’re about to be devoured by a 5m saltie called Goliath, one of Dreamworld’s amazing creatures. SEE VIDEO
WHO knew crocodiles were so fussy?
Goliath the 5.1m saltwater crocodile much prefers the taste of chicken to anything else.
He, along with fellow 3m saltie Matilda, are making themselves at home at Dreamworld where handlers are keeping them in fit and healthy shape.
Dreamworld’s reptile keeper Chris Parker said the two monster animals could jump their body length out of water when they were being fed.
“We encourage them to do it because it helps them to exercise and also it’s really cool to watch,” he said.
“Goliath is especially muscular and athletic for a croc.”
His strength is more evident when his jaws snap shut at 5000 pounds per square inch, or the force of jumbo jet brakes slowing down the plane.
